Shout out to The Big Cat Sanctuary for a wonderfully coordinated charity event last night at Maidstone United.
Such an honour to meet with and share the BISON table with some great guests, including sitting next to our speaker for the night West Ham United’s former 598 game, 34-goal defender Alvin Martin – what a selfless, grounded, legend he turned out to be!
Turns out Alvin holds quite a unique record – the only person in top tier football to score a hattrick against three different goalies! (apparently you only had one sub in those days and it was a pretty brutal game!)
Table purchases, auctions, donations and a prize raffle see some great funds raised for such a wonderful charity which is fantastic.
