Just opened our local newspaper to see The Golden Boots full page advert – a celebration of 230 years as a local family run shoe retailer.
This reminded me of all the great experiences I have had visiting there over the years …
Upon entering the shop you are greeted consistently with a big smile, eye contact and a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ warm welcome.
Quality coffee and refreshments are on standby to enjoy (pre Covid) and there’s even a train track running around the shops ceiling to amuse the children (last time I visited my son Harry didn’t want to leave)!
This is a great example of what retailers need to do to counterpunch retail guru Theo Paphitus’ claim that COVID has accelerated the transition to online shopping by 5 years – it’s impossible to get this level of service/experience online.
The Golden Boot I salute you for many years of excellence – wishing you every success on this onward venture!
