Wow, what an incredible success our first ever BISON ‘Big Cat’ Corporate Day was last week – an intimate gathering of clients and partners for a truly unforgettable experience at the magnificent Big Cat Sanctuary. This event was meticulously designed to achieve our key objectives, and from the feedback received, we are proud to say it exceeded expectations!
Our foremost goal was for our guests to feel valued and have an exceptional time. From the moment they arrived, they were immersed in a world of wonder, education, and inspiration. The day began with a talk from our MD Mark Bidewell on the remarkable family business journey BISON has been on, spanning nearly fifty years. We highlighted our collaboration with the Big Cat Sanctuary, which commenced in 2015 with a full rebrand and showcased the eight-year partnership that has followed as their trusted brand guardians, where BISON has provided creative support, high quality (climate conscious) signage, educational graphics, adoption packs, and impactful marketing materials.
One of the highlights was the VIP tour of the Sanctuary, with three lucky winners’ hand-feeding the big cats, including the renowned BBC TV celebrity Maya the Jaguar. Guests also got to visit the Animal Resource Centre, where we had the opportunity to showcase BISON’s contributions in the education room. The room features a panoramic window overlooking the operating theatre, where endangered cats undergo life-saving surgeries. Informative, sensory displays adorn the walls, encouraging individuals and organisations to take positive action to support conservation efforts.
To conclude the day guests were treated to a ‘climate-conscious’ lunch; an opportunity to introduce a range of new plant-based options, which received an overwhelmingly positive response with many amazed by the deliciousness and a profound connection made between food choices and the impact on sustainability and conservation. One guest, a self-proclaimed meat lover, exclaimed, “The burgers and nuggets were delicious – I wouldn’t have known they weren’t made from meat!”
A heartfelt appreciation goes out to Tanith and Harry for delivering such passionate inspiring talks, to Ellie and Colin for organising and catering for such a great day and to the rest of the team for their dedication to the welfare of these magnificent creatures, it truly is commendable.
