MD, Mark held a talk on sustainability at Bearsted Primary Academy. Here’s what he had to say…
“Feeling very proud and honored to have been able to talk to all the children of Bearsted Primary Academy on sustainable things we are doing at BISON and to spark some ideas on what they can do too.
I got to show the children our nearly fifty-year history on BISON, what we do, and some of the people we work with including The Big Cat Sanctuary, Leeds Castle and F51 skate park.
Our climate justice mascot, Bruno Bisophant joined me and was a massive hit with the children – he tours/goes on loan to schools, businesses, and communities to spread the green word.
I also stayed on after and baked some ‘planet friendly’ plant-based cookies with the students and got to talk with them more over the morning. Their curiosity is so amazing – something so powerful that seems to dilute as we get older.
What I keep finding speaking to children is that they really care about our planet/nature and nothing is more fulfilling than having conversations with them about how each of us could be doing things to make it better.”
